What is the Victorian Women’s Register?
The Victorian Women’s Register is an online portal for women who are interested in receiving information about vacant positions on Victorian Public Sector boards and committees. The portal also provides an advertising platform for board recruiters who are seeking women board members.
What is the purpose of the register?
The Victorian Women’s Register is a Victorian Government initiative to support women‘s leadership and increase the number of women serving on boards and committees across Victoria. The portal also supports the Victorian Government commitment made on 28 March 2015 that no less than 50 per cent of all future appointments to paid Government boards will be women.
How do I register?
In order to access the online portal and application process you will need to register on the website. You only need to register once. The Victorian Women’s Register is designed to connect you to Victorian public sector board opportunities. By creating a personalised profile on the register, you will be able to easily apply online for board positions.
In order to register, you will need to click on the 'Register Now' box on the home page and complete the form. You only need to do this once as you will create a login that will save all of your personal information and applications.
How do I update my details on the register?
After you have registered you will be able to fill in an online form. The form provides you with a template to provide information about your personal and professional experience. You will be able to upload you resume and other relevant documents as well identify the types of boards through the expression of interest option.
This pre-filled form which will be used when you apply for specific board positions. You may be asked for further information or to complete key selection criteria when you apply for specific board positions.
